About

After 20 years of teaching high school and middle school in New Jersey, Colorado and Michigan, and twenty years of teaching in the Education Department at Calvin College, Robert Keeley joined the faculty of CTS in 2017. He was no stranger to the students or faculty, though, having served (and continuing) as the director of the Distance Learning program since 2014 and also teaching courses for the Seminary. He and his wife Laura have also served as the Directors of Children’s Ministry at 14th Street Christian Reformed Church in Holland, MI since 1991.

After beginning his career as a math teacher, and author of few math textbooks for college students, Robert turned his attention to his other area of interest, how children and teens develop faith. He has been a frequent speaker at schools, churches, and conferences in the U.S. and Canada. He is also a musician and worship leader and is a collaborating partner with the Calvin Institute of Christian Worship. He also continues to serve the Education Department at Calvin College half time. Robert and Laura have four married children and two grandchildren.
