Stob Lecture Colloquium

Stob Lecture Colloquium

  • Event Date

    January 18, 2021

  • Event Time

    4:00pm - 5:00pm

The annual Stob Lecture was incorporated for the first time within the lineup of speakers of the January Series of Calvin University. Speakers would do a large, public lecture as part of the January Series of Calvin University. This change created the Stob Lecture Colloquium. Hosted at Calvin Seminary, the colloquium would provide more insight from the earlier lecture, with the speaker engaging in a question-and-answer format with a faculty member from Calvin Seminary or University.

The Stob Lecture Colloquium 2021 will feature an in-depth conversation between Jemar Tisby and Calvin Seminary’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Discipleship Coaches, Denise Posie and David Beelen. The topic of the conversation, "What is the color of compromise?" is based on Tisby's award winning book, The Color of Compromise: The Truth About the American Church's Complicity in Racism.

This event will be live streamed at 4pm on Monday, January 18th.
