Even in your first year at Calvin Seminary, you can serve as a representative of your class on Student Senate. This organization provides key student leadership within the Seminary, acting as a voice of student ideas to the administration.
Student Senate also works to promote seminary community through events like the All-Seminary Picnic, Christmas Around the World, Dies Natalis—the seminary birthday party—and the annual Table Tennis Tournament.
Join the Seminary’s chapel-planning team to serve the community with your worship-leading gifts. This team meets on Tuesdays to plan services for Wednesday and Friday mornings. Even if you don’t serve on this team, you can contribute to services by doing readings, sharing your testimony or acting as liturgist.
The Seminary Choir helps lead worship at chapel once each week. Join this group at the beginning of the school year.
Serve the community by providing leadership in one of the several student organizations active each year, like the Church Planting Club, the Social Justice Club, Scripture Memory Club, Korean Student Association or student publications Kerux and Stromata.
You can find ways to serve in many other ways at Calvin Seminary. Help organize events, lead the food pantry, or plan the regular Town Hall Gatherings.
