Campus Life at
Calvin Theological Seminary
Overview
Life at Calvin Seminary
Our campus life is thriving because of students just like you, bringing their passions, backgrounds, and interests together to create intentional community as they prepare for a life of ministry.
A Community of Faith
Worship Together
Calvin Seminary is first and foremost a worshiping community, and you will find daily opportunities to gather with others to pray, sing, and meditate on Scripture.
From chapel planning team to Seminary Choir, ensembles, drama, and dance, chapel is a place where you can use the Spirit’s diverse gifts to lead others in worship.
Opportunities to grow in your faith include:
- The community gathers twice a week for a student- and faculty-led chapel worship service.
- A 10-minute Matins service is offered each day from 7:40-7:50 a.m. before classes begin.
- Prayer groups meet at 10 a.m. each Monday morning.
- Korean students gather each weekday morning for prayer and have several other worship gatherings at different times of day and on the weekends.
- Peer formation groups, provided through your course of study, allow you to grow through discipleship.

In between, here are just a few of the ways we cultivate community:
- Donut and fellowship time after Wednesday chapel
- Town hall gatherings with free pizza provided
- Regular potlucks for seminary students and families, including international-themed dinners
- Christmas around the world dinner
