Extension of Status
If your program is not completed within the designated duration of status, application may be made for "extension of status." If application is made and approved before the expiration date, on your I-20 or DS-2019 the extension can be granted by Calvin Seminary.
The extension form is available form the office of the Dean of Students and International Student Adviro, or can be downloaded (pdf).
If application is made after the expiration date, reinstatement by the Department of Homeland Security - Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services is required. A fee of $200 for F students and $198 for J students is charged, several weeks or months of waiting are required, and much inconvenience is experienced.
