Beloved biblical commentator Frederick Dale Bruner, professor of Religion emeritus at Whitworth College in Spokane, WA, and the outstanding preacher Timothy Brown, Henry Bast Professor of Preaching at Western Theological Seminary in Holland, MI, will team up to display the exciting synergy that exists between deep textual work and engagingly winsome preaching. Bruner and Brown will look at John 1 and Luke 15 to demonstrate the connections and cross-fertilization that can take place between text and sermon.

Dr. Timthy Brown
Dr. Timothy Brown is the "Henry Bast Professor of Preaching" at Western Theological Seminary, in Holland, Michigan, and a General Synod Professor of Theology for the Reformed Church in America. Dr. Brown brings to the task of homiletical instruction over 20 years of preaching and pastoral experience. Dr. Brown is a frequent speaker at pastor's conferences, college and seminary campuses, church renewal events, and is a frequent contributor to a range of periodicals in pastoral theology.
 
Dr. F. Dale Bruner
Dr. F. Dale Bruner is author of several books, including a commentary on the Gospel of Matthew. After teaching for 11 years at Union Theological Seminary in the Philippines, he took a position at Whitworth College in Spokane, Washington as the George & Lyda Wasson Professor of Religion. Dr. Bruner is currently at Fuller Theological Seminary, where he is doing research toward a commentary on the Gospel of John.
