Sue Vander Laan

Sue Vander Laan was born in Grand Rapids, MI and spent her childhood in Jenison, MI. Sue attended Calvin College and graduated with an A.B in elementary education. She lived and taught in Chicago for nine years and now lives in Wyoming, MI. Sue has also taken courses at De Paul University in Chicago, and at Calvin Theological Seminary. In fact, Sue was one of the first women to be granted a preaching license from Calvin Theological Seminary! Now, she has returned to the seminary and is a part-time assistant to the Dean of Students. Sue works with student insurance, international students, setting up class reunions, and helping international students with income tax forms. The aspect of her job that Sue enjoys the most, is her interaction with the students. Sue also values the variety of work that her position offers.
Sue has two sisters and one brother, seven nephews and one niece. She likes to play the piano, read, walk, watch football, do counted cross stitch, and spend time with friends.
