Becky Hoekstra

As a third generation Calvin Theological Seminary graduate, we are excited to welcome Becky Hoekstra to our Financial Services Office. Becky, the daughter of a pastor, has spent much of her life between Iowa and Michigan and now considers Grand Rapids to be home. Since graduating from Calvin College with a degree in accounting, Becky has had much experience in business management and payroll which will make for an easy transition into the position of FSO Coordinator. Becky's main responsibilities include payroll, working closely with the FSO Controller in the maintenance of accounting records, as well as assisting students with financial issues.

"Coming back to Calvin Seminary as a staff member feels like the culmination of the various studies, work, and ministry opportunities I've had to this point in my life. I consider myself truly blessed to be able to serve this community, which was such a blessing to me."

In her spare time, Becky enjoys spending time with her family here in Grand Rapids as well as visiting family in California. She also loves to read, cross-stitch, and watch reality T.V. shows as well as home decorating shows. She sings in her church choir and works with the children and youth at her church. Often times you can find Becky playing volleyball or other group games or just sitting and enjoying God's beautiful creation.
