Karlene Werner
Assistant to the Vice President

Karlene Werner hails from Detroit, MI and has also lived in Indiana and Germany. Karlene has been at Calvin Theological Seminary since January 2004. Her main responsibility is to the Vice President for Administration, but she also helps the Administrative Assistant to the President. Karlene's job involves everything from scheduling meetings to arranging the travel schedule for faculty. She also has the opportunity to stay in touch with students as she assists with various programs at the seminary.
"I love seeing the students and getting to know them, and I enjoy the work atmosphere here as it is very friendly."
Karlene has been married to Jeff for thirty-six years and they have two grown daughters. She enjoys cooking, baking, reading, jigsaw puzzles, gardening, painting and going to her family's cottage. She and her husband have traveled to Chile, Australia, Europe, Mexico and the Bahamas.
