B.D. (Calvin Theological Seminary, 1971)

Jim Osterhouse is devoted to the mission of God. His missionary service in North America and beyond has included campus ministry in Bellingham, WA; church renewal in Indian Harbor Beach, FL; church planting in LaCrosse, WI; and serving as senior pastor at a large church in Minneapolis-St. Paul, MN. He combined these ministry experiences in his work as regional director for Christian Reformed Home Missions in the Midwest for 13 years. Currently, Jim leads the denominational Missional Leader Development team for Home Missions. A consistent theme throughout his ministry has been the identification and training of new leaders for the church as he expresses here:
"The Great Commandment and the Great Commission combine to form a great church. The church is God's instrument in the world to advance His kingdom. Such an overwhelming challenge calls for excellent leaders. My efforts at Calvin Theological Seminary aim at equipping just such mission-minded servant leaders. "
Jim Osterhouse has written F.A.I.T.H Unfolded: A Fresh Look at the Reformed Faith, book reviews and various articles. He is married to Norma, a public health nurse, and they have two children and four grandchildren. Jim's hobbies include biking, swimming, world travel and singing.
