Barb Blackmore

We are excited to welcome Barb Blackmore as our new Assistant to the Faculty at Calvin Theological Seminary. After spending thirty-two years in Texas and Oklahoma, Barb moved home to Michigan where she spent the last year and a half in the Office of Development at Calvin College. Barb will be providing administrative and secretarial assistance to the faculty and the editor of the Calvin Theological Journal. Barb will serve as the contact person for journal subscriptions, as well as the distributor for books received from publishers for book reviews.

"As I think about coming to Calvin Theological Seminary as a new employee, first of all I am blessed and so thankful for the opportunity to work here and serve our Lord in any way that I can. But I also feel like I've come full circle in my life. I began my married life, with a seminary student, and spent some 30 years married to a pastor. Now I find myself working at CTS!"

Barb and her husband Dave have three children; two in Oklahoma and one in Michigan. Barb is very excited to be living back in Michigan where she is close to her mother and her sisters. When time permits, Barb enjoys walking, golfing, gardening, redecorating and refinishing furniture.
