Rev. Peter Jonker of LaGrave Avenue Christian Reformed Church lines up his putt at the 3rd Annual Calvin Seminary Golf Classic.
June 26, 2017 marked the 3rd annual Calvin Seminary Golf Classic, held in Grand Rapids. It was a beautiful day filled with fellowship and community, with a focus on coming together to celebrate what God is doing at Calvin Seminary.
The event brought in over $171,000 in support toward the Annual Formation Fund at Calvin Seminary. Every dollar raised will help keep tuition lower, allowing each student to focus on their studies and where God is calling them.
The funds raised as this event will directly impact each learner as they prepare for a lifetime of Kingdom service. Hessel Kielstra of Calgary, Alberta, has been a longtime Calvin Seminary supporter. He shares, “When I give to the Annual Formation Fund, I am mindful that this money is providing a foundation for our future church leaders to grow as they move forward in their faith journey, answering God’s call to pursue ministry. As supporters of these Kingdom workers, our focus should be lifting them up in prayer and encouraging them in their commitment to lead. Donating to this fund will impact the future of the Church for generations to come.”
Please pray for each student as they are actively engaging with churches throughout the summer months, gaining hands-on experience and practical knowledge that will prepare them to lead in the way God has called them. Your prayers for these men and women are coveted.
Additionally, please save the date for the 4th annual Calvin Seminary Golf Classic, scheduled for June 25, 2018 at Stonewater Country Club in Grand Rapids. We look forward to seeing you there!
