Join us as we commemorate the 35th anniversary of the Meeter Center. One of the world’s largest collections on John Calvin, Calvinism, and the Reformation, the Meeter Center at Hekman Library facilitates research on “Calvin’s thought and impact in his own time and today.” You won’t want to miss these three events, free and open to the public.
- March 9, 9-11 am, Meeter Center (fourth floor of Hekman Library) – Meeter Center 35th Anniversary Open House, with a special presentation on treasures of the Meeter Center at 10:30 pm. Games and prizes and refreshments throughout.
- March 9, 3:30 pm, Calvin Seminary Chapel – University of Toronto Professor Nicholas Terpstra will give the Meeter Center 35th Anniversary Spring Lecture on “The Reformation of Refugees: Forced Migration and the Meaning of Reformation.” Click here for more information about this speaker and lecture.
- March 9, 5-7 pm, Meeter Center (fourth floor of Hekman Library) – Exhibit Opening for “Here I Stand,” Special Exhibition on Martin Luther, the Reformation, and its Results. German Consul-General Herbert Quelle will provide an opening address at 5 pm on Reformation-Era German-Jewish Relations; refreshments will be served.
